这样一个乐队是如何被打造出来的?日前,记者和“墨甲”乐队首席科学家、清华美院信息艺术设计系副教授米海鹏聊了聊。

“墨甲”乐队首席科学家、清华美院信息艺术设计系副教授米海鹏告诉记者,这些机器人的演奏机制和人类演奏是一模一样的。

Mi haipeng, the lead scientist of the band and an associate professor of information art design at tsinghua academy of fine arts, told reporters that the robot's playing mechanism was identical to that of humans.

“比如说,演奏竹笛的机器人就是通过吹气、手指按压笛孔发声。和人类演奏不同的是,一般横笛的笛孔是在人类嘴部下方,但是机器人嘴的位置没法通过这种方式出气。所以我们做了改造,把进气的装置横过来放在了笛子的一侧,从一侧进气模拟人嘴的功能。”

2018年,条件成熟了,米海鹏以清华大学师生及毕业生为主组建起了一支7人的队伍。其中,有人物雕塑的专家,有古典音乐的大拿,还包括机器人科技研究人员。米海鹏告诉记者,整个团队平均年龄还不到30岁。

在项目启动一年多以后,这些难题相继被攻克。2019年4月,在清华大学108年校庆之际,第一版“墨甲”乐队亮相演出,以一种类似实验戏剧的形式首次演奏了中国风曲目。

More than a year after the start of the project, these difficulties have been overcome. In April 2019, on the occasion of the 108th anniversary of Tsinghua University, the first edition of the Mojia band made its debut, playing the Chinese wind repertoire in a similar experimental drama.

谈及“墨甲”乐队的未来,米海鹏告诉记者,现在三个机器人乐手的名字是玉衡、瑶光和开阳,其实是北斗七星中三颗星的名字。“其实在第一次演出之后就有人来问,另外四颗星什么时候亮相。我们也有这样的计划。也许未来会陆续跟大家见面。”
